Turbulence

Choreographic installation for headphones and immersive dance concert

Turbulence is a choreographed installation for headphones as well as an immersive dance concert. The installation is designed to stimulate the audience’s imagination. The audience roam freely, immersed in the sound of their headphones and the multitude of bodies, exploded in a near and distant landscape throughout the space. The headphones play a choreographic, poetic, sensitive and festive manifesto that discusses dance, the artist’s engagement, alternate scenarios, fantasies and creations that tend to build themselves throughout destructive movements of history.

The dancers are all over the place. All the time. At the same time.
They dance with complete lightness in a kind of celebration taking place as the world falls apart.
The performers are dressed in costumes from all eras: Past – Present – Future. Removed from any particular aesthetic style or fashion…
But rather of all styles simultaneously.
They belong to no particular nation but to all of humanity.
Taking place in an immersive setting which stimulates the imagination and brings the body to the dance floor.

The performance then gives way to a concert danced to the electronic sound of @AxelRigaud. The audience is immersed in the pulsation of the music and the performers’ movements that oscillate between actions inspired by different choreographic styles and improvisational games. The audience experiences a performance on the fringe of the party, from the inside, nearby, which eventually incorporates them into the dancing.

The principle of Turbulence is to embody a location through sound, dance and an immersive and sensory experience. A crowd of bodies, performers, amateurs and visitors living a festive moment together.
