INTERSCRIBO has been producing Tatiana Julien’s artistic projects since 2011 and has created around fifteen works and performances to date.

Through this platform, the french choreographer explores the connections between art and revolt, dance and resistance. Not far removed from the spirit of pre-war cabarets, the almost expressionist material she develops propels the body into a whirlwind of gestures to embody—abrasive, turbulent, and overflowing with energy.
Alternating between intimate solos and ensemble works, her performances joyfully embrace what is deviant, orchestrate forms of liberating decadence, and challenge established limits.
She openly embraces a taste for spectacle, flirting—often with irony—with mainstream culture and a certain lyricism. Sound, music, light, and text all contribute to the invention of immersive devices that place audiences at the heart of a radical experience.
The performance space becomes a field for exploring new modes of address, encounter, and connection between living beings, as well as empathy as a form of political resistance.

Tatiana Julien also extends the transformative potential of artistic experience into the realm of transmission, creating hybrid events and spectacular workshops that bring together amateur and professional participants. A place where mediation itself becomes performance.

Among her works are  Turbulence (2018), a headphone-based choreographic installation for non-theatrical spaces;  Soulèvement (Uprising) (2018), a solo on resistance; A F T E R (2020), a creation for eight performers set within a scenography of collapse; Decay (2022), a large-scale slow-motion work for the 25 dancers of the Centre Chorégraphique National – Ballet de Lorraine; and Une Nuit entière (A whole Night) (2022), a ritual and feminist duet co-written with Anna Gaïotti. This piece initiated a broader artistic inquiry into norms, relationships, and otherness, later pursued in En fanfaaare! (With a baaang!) (2025).

As part of the European project Dancing Museums (2016–2022), Tatiana Julien created The (Ephemeral) City of Dance (2022), a festival of spectacular, large-scale, and participatory practices. The project invited various choreographers to perform the utopia of a city of dance in close connection with local inhabitants. Within Dancing Museums, she also created the performance Please Do Not Destroy at the Louvre Museum (2016), as well as Monumenta (2016) in the Nave of the Grand Palais.

She has also performed at the National Gallery in London, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, the Gemäldegalerie in Vienna, the Museo Civico, Arte Sella Museum in Italy, and the INHA in Paris.
